| Member Description: Robert Gray’s Colorado heritage is deeply invested in each finely turned aspen vessel he creates. Buena Vista provides a spectacular backdrop for his 35 years as a wood-lathe artist. His uniquely sculpted vessels are individually crafted from carefully selected wind-fallen aspen trees. He follows a meticulous multi-step procedure that includes a lengthy yearlong curing process to produce a very stable vessel. He uses his skills and artistic sensibility to achieve extraordinary delicate tin-walled vessels with unique openings and flawless finishes. | Member Description: Andra Hendrie moved to Buena Vista in 1992 after living in Bailey for 27 years. She taught many different age groups art lessons in her home and at her arts and crafts business. She loves to teach and paint most mediums but prefers watercolors, pastels and oils the best. She likes to mix realistic, romantic and a little bit of abstract styles to get unique paintings but is open to new ideas. She is now showing her work at the Courtyard Gallery located in the Buena Vista square on E. Main Street. |

| Member Description: Amateur origami-lover, Mei-Yue Lin, became an origami instructor in college and an art-craft store, after being involved with volunteer programs in a hospital and library for many years. With the background of a bachelor degree of horticulture, she enjoys making 3-dimensional origami flower by using dyed washi-paper, attempting to catch the gusto of impressionism. Moreover, she likes to combine origami with Chinese calligraphy together to create the unique origami bookmark and card, so as to advance the artistic level of origami between texture and ink. |
